If you lose something it's logical to look for it where you last saw it. But where do you look for friends you lost touch with many years ago – especially many years ago on the other side of the world?

The solution is annoknips and it is brilliantly simple: You compile your own online biography – free of charge. You add when and where something took place to every entry in this online biography. These addresses are automatically given their own small homepages summarizing the experiences of all users in the various years. In this way a "house biography" is created bit by bit – perfectly sorted by years. Each of these virtual houses has a virtual doorbell which can be used to contact users who have registered there. The search for the famous "needle in the haystack" is a thing of the past because now everything is really easy: Select an address and see who experienced something in the same place in the year concerned.

But annoknips has much more to offer. Events in an online biography can be supplemented with photos that other users have filed under the same address. Privacy has also been considered: Every user can decide for themselves just how much they want to reveal.

annoknips will go live on 04 August 2008. And there is something special in store for those who decide to register at short notice: Every street that annoknips registers gets a street manager and every town or city gets a city manager. Every user who provides annoknips with pictures of "their" street can become a street manager. As a thank you street managers can use free advertising space on annoknips.com. An ingenious system displays these advertisements regionally – the ideal prerequisite for promoting your company locally. Of course, this space can also be rented out to others. However, if you want to become a street manager you shouldn't waste any time because every street will only be assigned once!
